love bird

While hubby and I were at the beach with his parents, I was looking through a Crate and Barrel catalogue from this past Christmas. Christmas on the beach... in July! It worked for me.
They had an adorable set of bird ornaments, which were made out of white fabric. So cute! I tucked the idea away and knew I had to make something like that...

...so out came the sewing machine! I had a little bit of an old wool sweater that I used to repair hubby's boiled wool slippers, and it's a pretty bluebird color. A few snips, stuffing, and topstiched letters later, it became a lovebird!
