And in other news, this strange bug wandered into my home for a photo session and has since been sent on a watery journey to the depths of the earth.

Strange, yes?

Thanks to my professor friend at Cornell, I have since learned that this is a "two-spot stink bug," known to scientists as Perillus bioculatus. It's pretty rare in this area, too!
